The
sonoreactor UTR200 is suitable for the direct or indirect sonication of
liquids (homogenizing, dispersing, breaking-down of cells etc.) as well as
for sieving and spraying. Ultrasounds
are not transmitted into the liquid via the butt end of a tip-sonotrode, but
through the oscillating bottom of a compact chamber.
With
an amplitude of 80 µm, an ultrasonic intensity of 80W/cm2 is
reached. This is 50 times higher than the ultrasonic intensity of common
ultrasound bath.
Since the
vessel is manufactured from one piece, there are no leakage problems.
Covers, cylinders or other kinds of equipment, both from our standard offer
or designed as a special customized solution, can be screwed onto the bath
oscillation-free sidewalls of the bath.
Important
domains of application include the following:
-
Direct sonication of the
fluid inside the vessel
-
Indirect sonication of the
samples contained in the glass test tube or Eppendorf tubes etc., which
are dipped into the water-filled bath
-
Sieving of particles by
mounting of up to 8 sieves on top of the UTR200
-
Sonication of a
hermetically-sealed sample in continuous flow-through or batch
conditions
