The Digestors are made in four models for different sizes and numbers of test tubes. All models have over-temperature protection and a built-in electronic temperature control (100-440°C) with a digital display. The Digestors are effectively insulated to minimize heat transfer to the surroundings and allow quick heating, thus giving better working conditions as well as saving energy. They can be converted to fully automated operation simply by connecting the Controller.

The Digestors are delivered with the parts necessary to start the analysis, e.g. tube racks, heat shields and retainer plates for easy washing and drying of the tubes. Test tubes and other accessories can be selected according to specific application requirements. The Digestors are designed for simultaneous batch digestion of up to 6, 12, 20 and 40 samples respectively. The smaller 2006 Digestor can also easily be used for “single sample” tests; a special Exhaust is available for this purpose.

Both the 2006 and 2020 Digestors take the 250 ml test tubes. The models 2012 and 2040 are built for the smaller 100 ml tubes. Please see the section on Test Tubes for recommendations on which type to select for different applications.
