The Lift
facilitates highly-automated digestion procedures, eliminating heavy and
risky manual handling of hot chemicals. The built-in timer maintains precise
and repeatable analytical conditions without the presence of an operator. A
rack with 20 or 40 tubes is placed on the Lift. The start button is pressed;
if the Controller is connected this is done automatically. The rack rises to
the upper position and docks with the Exhaust, or Reflux Head. The rack
together with the Exhaust moves down into the preheated Digestor.
After the
preset time (1 minute up to 99 hours) the tubes, with the Exhaust still
connected, rise to the cooling position.
An audible signal indicates that the cycle is over. The operator just
presses “down” to allow the Lift to move to the unload position, where
the digested samples are removed. To prevent any acid spillage on the
Digestor, the drip tray should be inserted before the tube rack is taken
out.
